When I decided to open a consulting business I knew I would need to do a few things to create a professional experience for clients. The first thing that came to mind was a website, but of course there are many elements that go into a site that truly conveys the services you provide and the person you are as you provide those services. Priority number one was the logo.
When I married my husband Dan, there was one thing I was absolutely certain of– I was inheriting an incredible last name. I knew that in some way I wanted to incorporate that name into the logo with both typeface and graphics, but I wasn’t sure how it could come together. I played around with different hammer iterations until I finally came up with one that felt cohesive and strong. I’m a big fan of Adobe Illustrator, so this was nothing short of an enjoyable experience. There are a handful of brand designers that I considered reaching out to, but ultimately I’m thrilled that the KHC logo is something that came from me. It really was the marker of my first step toward making this company a reality, which gives it more than just a little sentimental capitol.
So here it is! What do you think?
